PRINCE WILLIAM and Kate are eyeing up a trip to America, despite rocketing tensions between them and Harry and Meghan.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have staged a charm offensive in the US over the last year, which is expected to culminate in a visit for the Earthshot Prize ceremony in autumn.
Prince William’s climate change passion project, the Earthshot Prize, rewards innovative solutions to the crisis and is expected to come to America in October. If William and Kate do travel to the ceremony, it will be the first major royal visit to America since Harry and Meghan moved there after quitting royal duties in March 2020.
The move comes after a tense reunion for William and Harry at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The brothers were placed on opposite sides of St Paul’s Cathedral for the thanksgiving service and it later emerged William and Kate were unable to attend Lilibet’s first birthday party due to diary clashes.
Sussex squad warned by Kate and Will supporters
Prince William and Kate’s supporters have warned Harry and Meghan fans they should “get used to” the couple being front and centre in the firm, as they “continue to rise”.
Writing on Twitter, one royal fan said: “SussexSquad better get used to this. William and Catherine will continue to rise, and receive more honours, official portraits and jewellery from the Queen’s vault.
“They are growing and thriving in their roles and will make a fabulous Prince and Princess of Wales. They’re unstoppable. One user commented on the post: “The whole Cambridge family is now taking top billing and centre stage, separating their family from all others in the Royal Family. It comes after the couple released their first portrait as future King and Queen Consort this week.
